About Us
About the Initiative:
BeatSarcoma is a volunteer initiative, launched in 2007 by a sarcoma patient, to help increase awareness about sarcomas, raise funds for research and assist with survivorship issues.

About Sarcoma:
Sarcomas are uncommon cancers that affect primarily children and young adults. Sarcoma research receives very little funding. Existing treatments, diagnoses and screening options are very limited and little progress has been made even in the past decade.

About the use of the funds:
We raise funds to sponsor specific research projects or patient initiatives.
a) We work closely with the medical community to select un-funded high impact projects.
b) Currently 100% of funds raised support sarcoma efforts . As we grow, we will be transparent about our expenses.
c) We fund programs hosted by leading non-profit research institutions.
d) We favor fundamental, translational and early clinical research as opposed to late clinical trials. The funding needs there are greater and the benefits far-reaching.

This is not about us, it's about how YOU can make an impact.

BeatSarcoma is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Our EIN is 26-0852086.
We also have set up the Beat Sarcoma Fund with the
Stanford Cancer Center. This account is only used for Sarcoma Research and donors receive the benefits of a tax deductible public charity. You can access information about BeatSarcoma at https://businessfilings.sos.ca.gov/
